Please Note: Due to a very full calendar, as well as an upcoming prolonged family commitment, I can't take any more bookings for my online Photoshop classes for now.

I'll announce re-commencement (and some new classes) in October.

Please fill in the enquiry form if you'd like to be informed as soon as the classes are available again.

Sharing my knowledge:

Online Photoshop Training

One-on-one training for the best possible learning experience.

About the course

No matter where you are in the world, I can train you. Live one-on-one Photoshop training via Skype.

I send you the tutorial files, and then call you up. We talk, edit and learn together.

It's personalised training like no other - at your desk, at your pace, at your convenience.

What you learn

It's all about the core Photoshop skills for clean image enhancement. This means achieving the best contrast, best exposure, best colour, best sharpness.

It's not about just pressing buttons or running actions - I want you to really understand how to edit a photo.

There's a wealth of Photoshop resources available out there - books, magazines and websites offering tutorials and tips. But if you haven't mastered the vital basics of Photoshop, you'll find yourself struggling to benefit from those resources.

My training gives you the strong foundation on which to build your skills.

What you DON'T learn

This is not an "Introduction to Photoshop" class. You won't learn the names of all the tools in the Toolbar, or how to add a border to a photo.

Artistic filters and other gimmicks are not my area. If you're content to disguise a poor photo with a texture, or a vintage effect, then have fun! You don't need my help.

This training is all about clean post-processing - making your photos look their best.

How it works

It's very simple. We arrange a class, then I email you the tutorial images that we'll be working with.

Then, you just need to install Skype, if you don't have it already. It's an awesome free internet telephony program. You'll need a microphone for us to converse.

At the agreed time, I'll call you, and we'll start the training. Not only are you in the comfort of your own home, you get to ask as many questions as you like in a live, one-on-one class situation.

The time difference

I'm in Brisbane - a beautiful part of the world. You're in ... wherever you are. How can we make it work?

Well, the time difference needn't be a disadvantage. If you have children, your best opportunity for Photoshop time might be in the evenings after they go to bed. If you're in America, for example, after dinner for you is before lunch for me - a very suitable time.

So I'm sure we can work something out. Let me know where you are, and we'll discuss the best time.

What you need

Photoshop: Any version of Photoshop (from version 7) or PS Elements (from version 3) is suitable for the training.

Fast internet: You need a fast enough internet connection to run Skype smoothly. Most parts of the world have that now.

Calibration: Your monitor needs to be calibrated using a reputable device (eg i1 or Spyder). Please don't contact me if you're not calibrated, because I won't waste my time or yours. Calibration for Photoshop is as important as clubs for playing golf.

Basic computer savvy: For this to work, you need to have a reasonable grasp of the computer you're using. For example, if you switch from PC to a Mac, please allow a few weeks to familiarise yourself with the new system before contacting me.

PayPal: Payment can only be accepted via PayPal at this stage. (Payment must be received in full before training commences).
